Summary: This pc is great!
Comment: I haven't bought a new computer since I got my first one 9 years ago. It was a Compaq Presario too, and it was always very reliable. So I trusted the brand name, and I wanted another one and Compaq's are very good bang-for-your-buck pcs. The SR5505F is very fast and dependable, and it may not have all of the features that a serious video-gamer needs, but that's okay because I'm not into video games at all. I just like to surf the net and shop online, etc. and for that it's more than enough computer-power for me.
I just added another gigabyte of RAM and now it's even more fast and reliable, and it has a great price, too.

Comment: This computer is so Quiet!!, there has to be no sound in the room to hear it running. Fast response when web surfing or reading email. Hp will always be my choice in computing. OH! Free Shipping/Thank's to Amazon.com

Summary: good bang for your buck
Comment: not the most outstanding pc but worth every penny... the only issues i have are with vista.. not with the actual pc.. i had a small issue with windows loading for the first time, but the HP support that came with it was more helpful than i expected.. they walked me through some troubleshooting which included unplugging the ram card but it was easier than i thought.. i was up and running within an hour... all in all its the best pc i have used which was under $400

Comment: Bought this for my daughter and it is great it works fast and we hooked it to the internet and she was off and running. We did get the exter memory card and put it in before we started so it worked great from the start and is still going strong!

Comment: Low cost decent computer. Not for gaming but if you just need a computer for surfing, emailing, and other basics, this is one darn good deal. I give it 4 stars because it came with only 1 gig of RAM and because I hate Vista.
