The Honeywell 1.2G Health Mist 4100 can be filled with a pitcher, there's no tank. The Honeywell 4100 Health Mist has a 1 gallon capacity that can operate up to 12 hours on one filling. An Air-Cleaning filter removes dust, pollen, odors and smoke from the air before it is moisturized. It also features quiet operation and an on-off switch.

Summary: SImple, quiet product
Comment: I have a two year old and a six month old that share a room, and both are congested with dry noses. This product is great for their room-it's whisper quiet (I would not put anything in their room that would chance waking them up-I like my sleep too!)and simple to use, no buttons, difficult filters. If I need to, I can sneak into their room and add water without having to take anything apart that might wake them. Just an easy, reliable product. I've had it for over a year now and is still as great as the day I bought it. I do clean and replace water daily, so that might be contributing to it's maintinence. To the lady with the black slimy water: Ewww! A filter isn't a magic wand, you have to do some manual upkeep yourself!

Comment: "Quiet Operation" is a blatant lie unless the manufacturers mean quiet compared to say, a fleet of jets taking off right over your head. The noise was intolerable before I even attempted sleeping, this humidifier is getting returned first thing in the morning.

Summary: Only worked 3 times!
Comment: I have owned other humidifiers, and while I was satisfied with the nice fine mist of this humidifier, it quit working after only three uses! We emptied the water after each use, and followed the instructions, but it just gave up. The other drawback was that this machine was quite loud and most family members' sleep was disturbed by the noise. I could not recommend this machine.

Summary: water becomes muddy
Comment: if I keep adding water after a week the water becomes muddy. I have no idea what is the black stuff floating in the water and it grows on the inside the the container. it is really gross. I have to clean it every week. I don't know if it filters air as advertized. It is noisy and it did not give mist. but if your air is really dry that you can feel the dryness, it does help
