Customer Rating: Summary: Best Ironman Ever Comment: This is the best Ironman that I have ever owned and I have had several. Very easy to program and to use. Numbers are large and easy to read. The metal ban is the best. Feels great and look great on my wrist. The band is easy to adjust. You need a regular sized paper clip, a Lineman's pliers, and a teaspoon. Unbend one leg of the paper clip. Hold that leg in the Lineman pliers so that the long axis of the leg is parallel to the long axis of the piers with 1/8" or slightly less of the paper clip exposed. The arrows on the inside of the band show which way to push. Cantilever a link over the handle of a teaspoon, near the end opposite the spoon, just enough so that the pin can be partially pushed out. Hold everything more firmly than you think necessary and push down harder than you think necessary directly on the pin with the paper clip. The paper clip leg, the pliers and your hand should all be in line. The pin will push out about 1/8". Pull it out the rest of the way with the pliers. Test fit and remove links as necessary. It really is easy.
Customer Rating: Summary: TIMEX IRONMAN TRIATHION Comment: VERY PLEASED WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE TIMEX IRONMAN TRIATHLON, THE DIGITAL NUMBERS ON THE WATCH ARE LARGE AND EASILY READ THE COMBINATION OF THE STAINLESS STEEL AND BLACK MATERIAL OF THE WATCH BAND MAKES IT MOST ATTRACTIVE AND STURDY,I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS SAME WATCH IN A GOLD FINISH.
Customer Rating: Summary: wish it was metal case Comment: This is a very good watch. It has a 99 hour chronograph (very useful for timing trips.) You can forward or back up settings to set time, timer, and alarm. It has a metal band, that is why I had to send off for it.
I wish that Timex cold get through their thick head that there is a market for a metal case, metal band, dress fully functing chronograph digital watch.
Like all corporate types, you cannot tell them anything. The Customer is allways stupid.
Customer Rating: Summary: Broken Watch Comment: The Timex watch that was purchased as of January 17, 2008 is broken as of February 10, 2008. This is the second watch that we have purchased from timex. Both watches were exacly the same. The second watch was purchased because the first one broke. I would not recommend this particular watch to anyone. The pin holding the band to the face has been the repeat offender.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great looking, working watch Comment: I have had several Timex Ironman watches over the years (maybe 20 years). This watch resembles the first one that they sold and I bought.
Many of the Timex Ironman watches look cheesy because they are mostly plastic. This watch has a stainless steel band without the sometimes ugly logos that Timex puts on their watches.
I had trouble finding this style and I am happy that it is available in at least one place.
