Summary: I am so glad I bought this thing!
Comment: We had a real mouse problem in this house. My husband researched various rodent control products online and decided on the Rat Zapper. I was reluctant to purchase it because of the price; poison and conventional traps just seemed much cheaper. But they also weren't working that well for us; the glue traps failed entirely and the poison had major drawbacks, especially in a house with three little children.
So finally I just got fed up with the unwelcome little squatters and bought the Rat Zapper. The first night it dispatched of three mice - that's cause my husband typically stays up late and was able to clean, re-bait and re-set it twice that night. It only kills one rodent at a time. We've had it about a week now, it's gotten rid of thirteen mice so far (again, due to some re-sets during the night) and last night was the first night where we set it and no rodents came calling. It may be too soon to say we're in the clear, but I'm sure we're at least well on our way to a mouse-free house.
I'm still very impressed by how well it worked; I can't get over how quick, easy and efficient it is, with minimal cleanup afterward. I should have bought one sooner!

Summary: I love the ratzapper
Comment: This has to be the best way to kill mice and rats. They just keep coming and coming and it's simple. We are actually on Zapper #2, our first one only lasted 2 days, we had a sneaky little rat that let a mouse go in and die and then proceded to go in an chew the wires. But no problem I called the company and within 30 min or so through email contact we had a new one on the way free, and the people at the company are very freindly and helpful. So in a week now we catch something about every other night and now have 5 less friends in our basement. My husband was a little hesitant to spend the money on this but finally decided if we had to keep buying traps it could get just as pricey, and is now glad he did since it works so well and plus no messy cleanup. We only turn it on at night since they are nocturnal creatures and we didn't have any luck during the day and could probably catch more if we checked it a few times but we out it down before bed and check it when we get up and seem to still get the critters. Definately something everbody should have if you have rats or mice!

Summary: Hates those Mieces to Pieces!!
Comment: Works great!! We got so tired of having to clean up and throw away good food from our pantry every other night or so despite having almost all items in containers and storage jars. This is about as humane a method to kill a rodent as there can be (if that is really possible). No fuss, no mess, no smell, though keep in mind our unit is under the sink. BEST rodent remover I have ever used outside of a good mouser barn cat. We keep the unit clean (the instructions are included, its VERY simple) and we turn it off every morning then back on at dusk (since mice are nocturnal) to help extend the battery life.
Do note that according to the instructions you can NOT use rechargeable batteries. We really haven't found this to be an issue as we are not over run, simply keeping the few that try to sneak in for the winter season OUT of our food and our house!! I am very happy we spent the money on this product, it was well worth it.

Summary: Build A Better Mouse Trap? They've Actually Done It!
Comment: If you're on the internet searching for ways to kill mice, you're likely as desperate as I was when I bought this product. I live in the country and just couldn't get rid of the little guys. Traditional traps worked when they didn't lick them clean of peanut butter, but were such a hastle to set up. Also, I'd have to set 4 or 5 of them just to catch the mouse. This is the best $40 I've spent. I was ready to spend an arm and a leg with an exterminator but even then they would likely just use poison - which I had even already tried (against my better judgement!). It works GREAT - I've killed 4 mice since I bought it about 6 weeks ago. It stays activated until it gets a mouse so I just leave it in a troublesome corner and sure enough, it's getting them every time. Also, I've had 4 kills and the batteries still seem good. If you're at your wits end and looking for a solution - this is it. I can't say enough good things about it!

Summary: Gets rid of the ick factor
Comment: After having a dog eat rat poison and having to watch it very carefully for a month with Vitamin K supplements, I did not want to deal with poison again. I also found a major ick factor dealing with snap traps, even when placed in a paper bag (sometime the rats drag the traps)
i am not a patient person especially when it comes to getting vermin out of the house and that has been my biggest problem with these traps so far. It took using chicken feed not dog food (Rats love corn) and having to wait two weeks before they would enter the trap. But after the first kill they finally line up for their last meal. I live in the country so as soon as one vacates a couple days later another tries to move in. I have finally started placing the traps outside near the path the rats were taking from the nearby field they played in during the day to where they would try to enter my house at night. They have stopped removing the steel wool I filled the holes with by using some expanding foam spray to glue it in place. Previously they were chewing through the foam. With the Rat Zapper, I am feeling less like Elmer Fudd each time I dispose of a carcus.
