Editorial Reviews:

This new formulation was designed specifically for a very thorough bikini waxing -- where every bit of hair is removed except for a thin strip in the front. The skin in this area is sensitive and delicate, yet the hair can be extremely coarse. GiGis new Brazilian Body Hard Wax provides the most effective Brazilian waxing service possible

Customer Rating: Summary: big NO-NO Comment: if this is brazilian wax, I am Giselle Bundchen. Just awful.I have been using wax for 20 years. I always bring my wax from abroad. I chose this wax just because it was hard and usually that's the best type of wax to use. However after the first try I just tossed the wax away. It is like trying to wax yourself with chewing gum. It is so sticky that you need rubbing alcohol to clean your hands. Just awful.
Customer Rating: Summary: Must Read! Hints and tricks!!! Comment: This might be the same stuff that major brand name salons use aka. this is the best wax you could possibly buy and you could use it on anything, just dont use it on your face if you have very sensitive skin. the trick to using this is do things slow and neatly when you first start and get comfortable using it. you should not have any wax left over to pick off your nails or skin if you do it this way. your hair should be 1/4 inch long to do this (grain of rice). If this is the first time you are doing a bikini wax go to a professional the first time and make sure they use hard stripless wax just like this one. clean your skin with mild soap and warm (never hot water before or after---take a shower if you must) and make sure you are completely dry. apply either baby oil (very little) OR baby powder (and brush off excess) to your skin and start by dipping the wooden spatula and lift it and swirl it around, DO NOT thin it out, you need a layer about 1-2 mm thick. it should be about 2incesx4inches. wait about 10-20 seconds and lightly tap it with your finger at the thickest point, if it is still gooey and lifts up let it set just a little longer, press the wax down with your palm, "flick" the bottom of the strip hold your skin taught (from the top) and pull quickly going in the opposite direction of your hair growth (from the bottom). quickly apply pressure to that spot for a few seconds. repeat... once you get the hang of it, you will be able to use slightly thinner strips but beware if you thin it out too much or let it try to much it will become brittle and will hurt to remove it and you will be left with a mess. you need to pull it off when it is still SOFT just not liquidy. when you are finished, use a damp warm/hot towel to wipe down your skin and then follow with a cold towel to close your pores. you could apply No Bump or something to prevent ingrown hairs and keep your skin soft. Remember!!! If you don't get all of the wax of or leave even the smallest drop on your skin you should remove it right away instead of waiting until you finish the whole area. it will be harder to take off if you wait and will be uncomfortable when you get dressed (fibers will stick and you will have dark little blotches). DO NOT take a hot shower or go swimming for at least 4 hours later, no matter what kind of skin you have!!! Use very mild soap and luke warm water if you must. You could use an oil or lotion that has azulene to calm your skin and use No bump or Tend Skin (the best) to prevent ingrown hairs. if you are going to wax your arm pits you might need a friend to help hold your skin taught or pull (it hurts much less when you hold your skin taught). I hope this helps!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for Hard to Reach Areas Comment: Although it may be hard to use, and somewhat painful, it is effective. I would recommend this product for areas which are hard to wax, as well as the bikini area. Also this wax is good for stubborn or thick hairs. The wax does not require muslin strips, which is nice, economically speaking.
I have trouble waxing under my arms and find this to be effective.
Customer Rating: Summary: GiGi Brazilian Hard Wax Comment: I'm having an incredibly hard time with this product! It makes the biggest mess I've ever seen...takes my nail polish off as I try to pick it off. From what I've read, it takes some practice to get the knack but it is frustrating in the meantime. Customer service from this site was excellent.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great product Comment: this is the best wax i've used.
However, if you have sensitive skin, you will have to think about it or oil your skin sufficiently before waxing. I regret I didn't buy the lotion and other products for before and after waxing. Please do buy it and don't get red irritated skin like me. It took a day or so to calm.
One wonderful thing about this wax is that it does get all the hair off where the wax is applied, but bear in mind it pulls at the skin too!
Nonetheless, though pulls at the skin surface, the epilation of hair itself doesn't hurt as much as other gel-type waxes.
I used the space saver warmer and it worked just fine. Plus it saved me some cash on delivery fees because I got the body hard wax and the space saver warmer from the same seller. Just turn off the switch (the space saver warmer only has an on/off switch) when it seems to get too hot, and turn it back on when the wax gets too thick. It's really less trouble than it seems from the way I wrote it.
Good luck!
