Summary: AWESOME!!! I have long very thick hair and this system works great!!!
Comment: After reading the reviews on here I just had to go out and buy one. I was worried about the negative reviews where someone said people with thick hair should not even bother to buy this because it wouldn't curl well, or hold the curl. They don't know what they are talking about!

I have long hair (mid back) and it's very thick. I have bought several curling irons, most with a very high heat setting (around 420), and as soon as I finish one side of my hair and start on the other side, my curled side has gone flat:( (so I returned my curling iron and exchanged it for the steam rollers). Man I am so glad I did! My hair is super curly! I also have long layers in my hair and it looks so good!

I am so glad I finally found something that will curl my hair without damaging it. I bought mine from Sally's Beauty Supply, and they also sell the large steam rollers by themselves because the box comes with mixed sizes, so I do plan on going to buy some extra rollers because I like the bigger ones better.

Summary: Good for damaged hair
Comment: My hair was so fried that I ended up taking off 12 inches to get rid of the damage and bad layers that resulted. My shorter hair needed something to style it, and a former hair stylist suggested steam rollers. I love these. They aren't perfect compared to hot rollers, and they aren't as fast as a curling iron, but my hair feels so soft afterwards and the curl is nice. Hint: The hair is slightly moist from the steam after taking the curlers out. After they're out, I spray hairspray lightly then wait a few minutes for my hair to dry (usually putting on makeup). Once it's dry, I finger-comb it, and the curls last the whole day (and the next if I don't wash it). If I comb it out immediately after taking the rollers out, the curl is lost.

Summary: Caruso Molecular Steem Hairsetter
Comment: I have used a Caruso Steam Hairsetter for more than 10 years. With the exception of one that I bought in July of 2008 from Amazon it has been a good product lasting for many years. It gives my hair the volume that I like and works well for my active life style. I'm a no fuss kind of person. I blow dry my hair, put the rollers in, put on my make up, grab some kind of breakfast, take the rollers out, brush through my hair, get dressed and I'm out the door. My only complaint is that Amazon doesn't stand behind products purchased on their website. I have to contact the manufacturer to deal with the Caruso set that stopped working in less than five months from date of purchase.

Summary: Beats all other rollers
Comment: These are great for fine to medium hair. Other rollers leave my hair limp after a couple hours, but the steam rollers give my hair lots of volume which lasts for a couple of days. The best part is that these curl without all the heat. No more burnt ears or neck! Easy to use and set up. The steamer itself requires so much less space than my old hot rollers which took up half my vanity. Great for travel too - just take the steamer and a few of the rollers.

Tip - I had a dash of perfume to the water for the steamer which makes my house and my hair smell wonderful.

Summary: Perfect for my hair!
Comment: I had the original Caruso steam roller set back in the early 90's when it first came out. This was the one you had to use with salt. Everyone loved my hair when I used the curlers back then. I guess the novelty wore off and I stopped using it after the flat iron became the new "it" product. Well, I went out and bought the new version that you use w/out the salt. I still love it. My hair is soft and bouncy. The curls last a few days. This is great because I don't have to use my flat iron every day to style my hair. I plan on using the rollers as often as possible to minimize damage. P.S. I'm African-American with chemically relaxed hair that is pretty long and I wash my hair 3 times a week. Before I use the rollers, I wash and wrap my hair and dry with a hooded dryer. Hope this help-Cheers!
