This sturdy trike comes fully assembled for instant riding. Parents will love it because it folds up for easy portability and storage. The telescoping push handle conveniently "hides away" into the seat back, and the steering locks for easy adult pushing. Freewheeling pedals allow little riders to coast while an adult pushes. A safety latch keeps the trike secure. Low center of gravity means maximum stability. Sturdy steel construction provides durability, and the controlled turning radius means it won't tip over. Body measures 24" x 15" x 9".

Customer Rating: Summary: OK, but not very durable Comment: So we got this trike for my daughter...to be a gift for her 2nd birthday. Now that she's 2.5 years old, it's something she can use a little on our hardwood floor.
Outside of that, YOU probably want to know "how is it?" Well, it's OK. There is a lock to keep the steering wheel straight, but it seems very breakable. (When in the locked position, the wheel still moves, and the lock...bends, for lack of a better description.) The handle seems like a good idea, but it's too short, and fragile. You can hear the handle creak when you push on it, if someone's on the seat. (Isn't that why you HAVE the handle: so you can control the trike while your child is on it?) Also, our first one arrived with plastic cracked.
We'll see if I want to update this next summer...but I think I'll say this is just an OK trike.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Trike but Shipping Issues Comment: I don't know if it was the fault of Amazon or UPS but the trike arrived in a box that was nearly ripped to shreds and barely held together by tape. The handle bars and the carrier in the back were damaged. My best guess is that they did not use enough packing material to support the weight of this sturdy trike in a box that was too large.
I called to have it replaced and that process went wonderfully. They sent out a replacement immediately. Unfortunately, this one was damaged more than the first. So I just gave up and returned them both.
Because I loved the trike this was very disappointing. However, I will say the replacement and return procedures were very smooth. UPS came and picked up the trikes. I just had to incur the expense of buying a new large box and packing tape since I could not salvage the first box for the return.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great fun!!! You'll get your monies worth... Comment: We researched tricycles for our 3-year-old for months and kept coming back to the Radio Flyer Fold 2 Go XL Trike despite the unfavorable reviews. We live in New York City where our child would be crossing intersections and driving into Central Park so the handle on the back was a big selling point for us. There are no brakes so again, the handle used as a guide is a plus. But the handle should not be used with much pressure as the trike does tip fairly easily. We have taught our child to be careful of going too fast around corners. It tipped once and started to squeak once she got back on it but we located the squeak and fixed it. In summary, the product is inexpensive and for the price, we think it is a great buy!! Our child drives it often and it takes a beating in the urban streets (it's not built for heavy duty riding) but so far it is holding up with no complaints out of us. Also, keep in mind that for a young child just learning to ride a tricycle, they will fall in love with this one as it makes them feel independent while they peddle 'alone' (with mom & dad holding the handle) and they'll love packing their stuff in the "trunk".
Customer Rating: Summary: A+ radio flyer! Comment: my 16 month old will grow into it,so in the meantime we can push him along! excellent quality!
Customer Rating: Summary: My son LOVES his new "bike" and so do we! Comment: No child's toy could be considered perfect unless each parent designs it themselves, but this trike has been great. Reading most of the ratings, I was afraid I was going to be disappointed, but I'm not at all. Educational? Sorry, it's a bike. In today's world of signing kids up for preschool before they're born, sometimes kids need to be kids, and do things for no reason but fun. So no, it may not be educational per se, nor do I think it needs to be. Although, it is a good lesson on colors...I also did not buy the trike to go off-roading on, so we have had no issues wih the bike folding, either, which seems to be a common complaint in other reviews.
We live on a quiet cul-de-sac with about 30 kids, and my son loves to play with them, but always had to sit and watch when they were all riding bikes together. Now he loves that he can be a part of the fun. He's 15 months, so is just shy of the pedals, but climbs onto the trike completely by himself, and will rest his feet on them while we push him around, and he has a blast - the reason for buying the bike! I'm 5'6", and my husband is just over 6', and the settings on the handle are perfect for both of us. Most similar trikes out there do not have long enough handles, this one is great. And, when it's not extended, the handle is the perfect height for him to push the bike around the yard himself. I also love that you can lock the handle bars in place, so going for a walk on a sidewalk, you are not accidently steered of course by your little one.
All in all, the trike has been great. No, it may not be perfect (I wouldn't mind a seatbelt) but I'll worry about that after I find a spill-proof sippy cup that is actually spill-proof!
